2 weeks to go! :P

Just joshing!

weeeeellllll let me finish typing :P geeez! Impatient!

hehe it's tuned! and i drove it today for the first time in a year!! :D :D :D

Very happy - Made 150.1HP on 12psi and with a ramp up run made 160ish but the stock WRX turbo doesn't seem to be able to handle more than 12psi stable as the wastegate keeps opening once we reach that - i'll be pushing more boost once we modify the waste gate, but for now i'm just happy that it drives :D

There is a bit of sorting out to do but overall i'm happy we didn't have any problems during the dyno tune - the printer was playing up so i don't have the graph to post, but i'm extremely impressed with the power curve - comes on very early and there's no lag - the curve looks like a straight up 45* angle 8)

Only problem i had was a pot joint boot coming off and flicking grease on the exhaust making it smoke  but if that's my only problem i'm a happy camper

The lower rear engine mount is still buggered so there was a bit of vibration that you'll hear in the video's and one of the brake calipers after a few hard test stops started to foul on the wheel so i'm going to have to take a couple mm off the wheel on the inside spokes.

This is the first run EVER so take it easy as it's hardly finished and be grateful im posting a vid!

I was really surprised at the lack of torque steer really - just a little squirm :) really easy to keep in a straight line with this much power. The EXEDY clutch bites real suddenly and takes a bit to get used to for standing starts, but once your moving it's perfect. The Blow of Valve is REALLY REALLY loud  and it points out the front of the grill...so much so i think i would easily get defected - so i'm going to plumb it back as soon as i get an air filter box made - possibly run a 50/50 split..not sure.

Things left to do:
- Speedo Sensor hookup
- Rear Engine Mount
- Make more clearance for brake calipers
- Mount Dash Better
- Hookup indicator stalk

Thats about it. Hopefully i can do a few of those things this week :) maybe rego next week..

Thanks Em for catching my first drive on film, you're the best! :D

Hey Josh,

Good work mate, it even sounds the goods.

Let me know about the solution to the wastegate creep - from what Peanuts and Intercool said off the Austarlet forum is that they had no problems with wastegate creep. Funny thing is, they were both running about 16 psi, dont figure!!

Looks like 220 fwhp is on the cards then??

Cheers,
Tricky
