Nothing wrong with the Honda D-series slinkey - not quite as powerful in standard trim as the B-series, but not anywhere near as expensive either.

Its worth considering.

Cheers,
Tricky

Nothing wrong with them at all. Cheap, reliable, respectable performance, parts should be easy to get, lots of cars with them.

But there's something beastial about a supercharged 2 litre Civic Type R K series engine. My guess, around the 300hp mark at the fly, I don't think it says anywhere on the website, but I admit I've only looked at the pictures and watched the videos.

I looked into B series before I bought my 4E-FTE, and they were over priced, even for a B16, not even talking about the B18!

Not many Jap import places stocked Honda engines, I found a K series 2.2litre, I don't see that getting on the road, legally. But dam it would go hard!

The reasons for 4E-FTE for me simply was the ability to get help with the build from people who've already done it, here on Ausmini and by a few people in Adelaide. And because a good friends is going to make my subframe sometime in the future. My skills are not up to taking on a un-tried project. In the futre though, who knows?
