Yeah thanks I thought it would be something a bit different and I'll fit a small bash plate to hide the engine a bit.
Can't wait to get it done now. Should be a bit of fun to drive.

That subframe looks great. 8) It has tube in stressed places that most of the Starlet ones don't, because their sump is in the way.

I sent the paperwork away today to see if all my hard work will be able to be passed. I hope so as I've gone too far to quit now. The engineer I'm going through said that my mods will be able to be passed through though.
I've got the day off tomorrow for the local show so will be spending it and the weekend fixing the rust issues and fitting the flares so that I can take it to work next week to get the body repaired and primed ready for engineer inspection and then paintwork..
Not sure which way I'll go with the driveshafts yet(modify or custom make) as we're fairly limited on suitable workshops in the area but will need to get this done soon if I'm going to drive it this year. Was hoping to take it to Minifest but really want to take it to the Coopers settlement show in December(Melbourne).
I'll take some photos of the progress and let you know how the paper work goes.
Phil

Great news....
The conversion has now been approved in principle(letter recieved today) so will now be able to really get stuck into it.
I've got a little project to do first though which I will hopefully have done for Minifest in a few weeks.

The Mini is back at work now and have been busy smoothing out the modified firewall for last few hours. welding, grinding, sanding, etc, etc...
Very time consuming process but should look pretty good when done.
Will also be doing some rust repairs and trying to fit the Sirion fuel tank in the boot too.
Will post a few pics tomorrow if I remember my camera.

It's still at work tucked away in the corner so I can work on it during the week.
Engineer will be checking it out in the next couple of weeks. hoping it will be fine so I can get it painted soon.

I am looking forward to seeing how the Sirion tank will be retrofitted and mounted in the boot. Will the bottom of the tank be exposed to the road or are you going to make a enclosure for it?

Where will you be relocating the battery to? A box above the tank in the boot or elsewhere?

Hey everyone....
I've been rather busy doing other things recently like doing up my Alfetta, then meeting the love of my life, getting engaged, planning the wedding, etc.,etc............
Anyway once I get back to it(hopefully soon) it shouldn't take too much time to finish off.
The battery will most likely be mounted in the engine bay above the gearbox on the front of the firewall. See how I go though, may have changed my mind by then knowing me.
Phil

That's what caused the sale of my previous Mini 4 years ago :( (to pay for half of the wedding). Although, I would never force that upon any person - having to sell their Mini.
