So would these trailing arms be useful for using with the swift AWD gear? Or would you have to use most of the subaru gear?
I'd like to use the swift AWD engine and tranny.. do you think using the whole rear subframe from the subaru would be easier?

So people why not just use a Mini front subframe in the back- suspension and all?
I helped build a Twini years ago, front subframe fits in there easy.
Hmmm- but we had no back seat.. might still fit with no motor there though! :?:

The brief investigations we've done Kev show that it would really make sense to use the subframe from the donor car. That way you get suspension arms, driveshafts, and more conveniently all the brake/hub arrangement.

Well yep I won it  fun times ahead! Now I just have to work out how to get it home.. anyone want a case of beer for a borrow of their trailor... josh?

Edit: yeah I'll have a look at the donor subframe, and measure up how well it will fit.. Either way I'm sure the driveshafts will have to be shortened aswell as plenty of other modifications, also using the hubs would mean a different wheel PCD though wouldnt it?

Alex,

Just use everything off the donor, including PCD, and just get Jap-spec wheels.

With 4 x 100 PCD, there is a whole world of wheels open up for you.

Cheers,
Tricky

Yes, use the Suzy 4x100 flanges all round. 10" rims won't fit over the brakes.
Heaps of cheap mags to suit them Isuzu (Gemini) / early Subaru / BMW etc

I have Subie 5x100 mags for my moke in both 14" ($80 set) & 15" ($200 set with 80% Falkens)
