Yea, thanks for the idea! - i think there is just a bit of welding spatter over it, will have to give it a quick polish when i get it back

I think i'm going to leave the hole as is for now, there is no way to get it all to clear without redoing the manifold, so i'm going to leave it. It looks ok actually now that there is a bit of substance there with the piping, it's filled it in nicely

At a later stage when it blows and i redo the engine, i may do up another manifold and upgrade the turbo and patch the hole

Yeap, it's mounted off the frame, i asked him and he said it wont be a problem..i guess we'll soon see!
