2.wont the intercoolers radiator be all beat up by rocks?
3.can the thermo fan on that radiator handle getting wet (say if it was raining?

as for heat transfer between rad pipes and exhaust i doubt it very much when the car is moveing cool air will pass over the pipes and should not matter really

So Dean would that be your advice to me. I will be putting it in for a dyno tune next week hopefully, I was imagining that he would do a full tune?

to answer your first question dbr11k, the longer your radiator pipes the better. more volume = more cooling power.

my car (not a mini) has the radiator at the front of the car, and massive pipes running to the back of the car to the engine.. without a thermostat it doesnt move off COLD.

Nice work Baracade, it's a credit to your patience and detailed installation. i like seeing something done properly. looks and sounds great. 8)

Only just seen the Vid.

Awedome work Dean. I reckon it's you patience mainly that's got the great result. When a lot of other people would've gone the quick and easy (also cheap) route, you stuck it out and waited until you could do it properly. It's an awesome car that'll generate a heap of attention - and possibly more than just a bit of fun for you!! Great Work

Nice work on the Vid too Josh.

Well... The Verdict is in...

I have spun #3 Bearing...

Wether the damage happened before I got the motor or after doesn't matter... Its Broken..

Still unsure why oil pressure isnt coming up properly... But we will know soon as the motor is out of the car. & ripped to peices...

All new bearings will be put in.. Everything honed if needed...Crank will proberly need machining...

Then we will also be putting a few extra surprises in.. & then back together...

Still trying to find out if there is a bigger better oil pump to go to... But nothing seems redily available...

Nothing will be done by half measure...
So I have the best man for the job... Mark at "MRC Preformance Dyno tuning"
rebuilding the motor...

350hp atw here we come!

Photo's will follow tonight...

with all those cooling pipes running to the back of the car, you would want to make sure the motor doesn't run too cool, a cold engine is where most damage is done as far as i know

oil pressure probably aint coming up properly cause of the spun bearing not "holding" pressure .

Shite Dean, that sucks how long do you think it will be off the road? I guess I keep looking at these things as if I had to do it, but i guess the pros do a damn sight quicker...

damn not good news! that sight is way to familar to me, dont worry about it to much! lol i've had to take my motor out 4 times in the last say.. 3 months.. twice in 2 weeks.. when i first pulled it out i had 3 trays, each with 4 sections for each part's bolts and brackets and stuff, now i have a plastic 9L bucket with everthing chucked in there, all fun and games man

did it spin the bearing on the dyno or on the road?

Almost got the motor out...

Geewis its tight in there... Nothing comes out without pulling ten other tings out.. Its a bitch to work on...

I now understand how Terrific MR ENFORCER is.... Very Awesome work under hard conditions..

Will post some pics tonight!
