Early Mitsubishi L200's were popular for this type of thing as they had a full ladder chassis and had a fairly short wheelbase.

Thread revival! :)

Question - Is there anyway to get one of these suckers registered in QLD? I've been wanting a 4WD for a bit and I particularly like that orange van...

Shouldn't be too hard, as long as you use a 4wd with a full chasis. You'd have to get the body mounts engineered etc but I would imagine it would be do-able.

Well that's my opinion from here in NSW anyhoow.

Dicko.

 Wise words Tricky...

I've actually been wanting a 4WD for a while...

If it's possible to get it registered, I'd be leaning heavily towards the Sierra for that reason alone. If not, I'll probably get a Patrol or something... I'd prefer something like that instead of the little rice-burner, as I've been doing a lot of 4x4 with a mate lately and love it! :D

I think we are a little short of 650 horsepower
Poor old Clarkson - he is stumped when all he can do is powerslide and you put him in a car that doesn't want to!!!

Mind you, with 650 neddies on tap, it was very twitchy!
