Pffft. If you can get a hold of him.

I just said he's done it, he needn't buy them from Animal. The concept is the same as other honda & camira conversions. If he does some leg work he should be able to put together a set of his own.

Yes. Yes he should.

I got two sets of Prelude callipers there if you want a set. $60. Or free if you get me a second set of backing plates made at the same time.......

I think with adjustable suspension they are more talking about suspension arms eg rosejointed lower control arms etc. I think the hilos are not an issue. Also as previously stated my Engineer gave me the OK for no cat stating that the RTA here had changed the law for pre72 cars irrespective of what engine is going in???

is there any chance that you could send me the details of this new ruling?
I would love to not need a cat......
my engineer is under the assumption that I do.

im pretty sure the deal with adjustable suspension is that it cant be altered while driving.... ie hydraulics, or airbags. i have spax adjustables in mine and had no trouble getting it over the pits. just lift it a little before you go.

Manofaus, this seems to be a ruling specifically made by the ACT RTA so no help for you I would expect. My engineer said that he would require a cat from me if I live in NSW! (He is licenced in both states!)

Actually I just read the NSW stuff and it pretty much equates with his approval for me not to fit a cat (I noticed it said pre 72 not pre 76 also). To quote handout:

Quote:
1972 and later model vehicles with substitute engines must meet the intent of the later of the Australian Design
Rules applicable to either:
a) the original vehicle; or
b) the substitute engine

Now taking the latest ADR applicable to my 1971 Mini means no cat (not invented)  :D
