im thinking K20A atm

but still doing heaps of research...
Prepare to break the dosh!
I wan very close to going Honda, but it would have been harder, as Ben couldn't help me as much and the cost.
I got my 4EFTE front cut for $1500, and a spare engine, gearbox ecu and all the bits for $700.
Now, I'm not sure what a K20 is going for, but I was quoted 6 grand for a motor a while back. I'm sure you could do MUCH better than that, but none of the importers I visited (which was a lot) had anything K20 related, they were all still dealing with B16s and B18s.
A Honda importer even tried to tell me there was no such engine as a K24, only a K20...
4EFTEs can be hard to find too, but one came up and I grabbed it, then the 2nd motor appeared and I grabbed that too. Called up Ben, and he made me a subframe. Easy as.
<EDIT>
Here is SA there is no such cc restriction as yet. But I'm sure the other states will push and eventually there'll be no fun down here.
So a K24 would be fine! However, a turbo probably wouldn't, cars built post 1970 require you to meet emmissions standards on turbo/supercharged cars (cars built prior to that can be blown without any approval of the RTA at all!

). Cars after 1975 (for exact dates look it up it's in a sticky on one of the subforums) genrally speaking can't be blown at all. But that's never stopped anyone now has it....
But it you would need to engineer and then go through Regency you'd want to turbo it afterwards.
