Its not an un-common idea. Its how you will see buses get serviced. If I were to build another house I would build one of those in it. They will also make a good gimp cage if you're not into cars.

your house guests may be a little worried when you hand then lether masks at the front door

Worried maybe, surprised? Probably not.

She may notice the power bill going up or the bill from the builder for the alterations to the shed

My brother's got a hoist in his shed, tis very handy.

Mind you his shed fits his 54 Silver Wraith (ex Aust Govt), E Type, Range Rover, Phantom 1 (Baker Torpedo), Phantom 2, 63 Bentley Continental coupe, Laser TX3, Subie WRX (2 door), Kubota Tractor, and until about 6 weeks ago a certain Blue Clubby.

We did an oil and filter change, and coolant on the Wraith. It still took 6 hours. You gotta pull lots off to get the oil filter out.

The hoist cost him stuff all to buy. The rest...he wont tell me.

Dicko.

my dad bought one (despite me telling him it was a bad idea) - second hand, and cheap, he loves it... when it's working, which it's usually not. His garage isn't tall enough for it, so the only one of his cars he can get to a decent height is the brick....

so - if you get one, get a good one, and do it after you've modified your shed to suit it - so you know you're really committed

Yep it is.

The WRX is his wife's daily driver at the moment, his is an X Type.

The Phantom 1, 2, and 3 (its being restored somewhere else at present) are going to be kept. The Wraith and Conty will be sold as he now wants to concentrate on Pre War stuff. I keep telling him to give the COnty to me as I was born in 1963 and its a "sign". He doesnt listen though) The Rangy is for Transporting his dogs to the vet and the E Type he always wanted. The TX3 was his daily before the WRX was purchased.

I'll get some photos up on Photobucket if anyones interested. The Phantom1 is a "piece of art" with its wooden body and a boat tail.

Forgot to mention, on the Wraith notice the Blue Police Light on the roof, the 2 flagstaff mounts on the front guards, and the bracket for the "coat of arms" light that goes in front of the grille. These were the mods because it was the Queens car (one of three) used in Australia. It also has a Police radio, and the cooler in the back is now a cupboard for her Handbag, and the back seat winds forward so the Her Majesty could be seen through the windows.

Its last Royal duties was Charles and Di's visit.
