In theory, you should always force air upwards through a radiator. No point fighting natural convection where hot air rises.

The rad is on a slight tilt to help with trying to pass air over it. If you drew the air up then you would find your hot air bound by the subframe and heating the back seat and boot floor. Also, when moving you would find a low being created under the radiator causing overheating as the fan would be unable to draw the air through the radiator.

Dean had issues with overheating which i was unaware of until the dyno day, you will note that his system is in the boot and again would probably struggle to draw air in at high speeds due to a low pressure affect occuring under his boot. Dean has since fixed the problem by cutting out more of the boot on the return side of the radiator which has allowed the low pressur to help draw the air through his system.
