Hi harvey,
Yes im running a B16a2 with 160hp at flywheel.
I think the b18 is the same size except is a bit taller i think ( Anyone correct me if i'm wrong as im not 100% sure) but would probably fit in a clubby.there also i think a few thousand $$$ dearer, 160HP is enough for me (for now anyway :P )

As for the brakes im looking at doing this setup

Thanks mate , the intake will have to be shortened and a bit more of a curve put in it to clear the firewall, but should turn out ok.

Looks great, that frame looks awefully low? are you sure you aren't going to have any clearance issues?

I would stray away from the honda setup the only reason being the use of drum brake CV's, they aren't as strong as the disc brake CV and were only designed for 40odd HP in the day. To be pushing 160HP through them i don't think they would last..

4pot metro's can be got on the cheap..

What if i used the disc cv's and drive flanges it should work since the 2 hubs are basicaly the same size (hopefully) can anyone confirm this??.

What are metros going for these days, last time i looked they were like $700-800 second hand  .

Disc CVs and drive flanges may work but the whole setup is different- you will need to attach the Honda disc to the disc drive flange somehow.
No idea how involved that is, all the Honda setups I did were done using drum brake ones. Because that's what most poor Mini owners in Oz are running.

miniimports was bring in 8.4s for around $600 I think. PM him...

Total agree keap the pic's commin.

You have to love 13's Star Mags..they would have cost you a bom or two
and Coil Over on the rear also

Must say I like the idea of the incorporated Bonet with the Gaurds for the Flippy. Many know I would and love to do a Flippy on a roundy.
Nice job

Don't know many Vtec Mini's (Except Uk) running around. Keep us informed

The wheels were'nt that expencive actually compared to superlites, in total it was around $1400- $1500 including tyres (Rims from the UK tyres from Aus)

I really wanted a set of those wheels when i was looking at wheels for the van, in the end lazyness got the better of me. So i ended up with superlites

I hear ya Gordo, I hear ya!!!

I bought my Superlites 2 years ago thinking no one had 13x7's - now everyone has them.

Oh well, they dont have that much competition here unfortunaltely!
