Well, here's my costs having tried to do everthing myself:

$750 (240 pounds) Metro disc set (got them in UK and brought them back in my take on luggage)
$250 Steel to make subframe etc etc
$2450 Halfcut
$900 Engineering

Now if you start including things I needed because I converted the car from wet to dry (eg new Koni shocks) or dual circuit MC etc it all starts to add up. I reckon I am upto about 8K if I leave things out like seats and right hand tanks. With rego $580, Insurance $500, that takes it to a bit over $9K. I guess it all depends on what you have when you start and where you draw the line as to what is and isn't part of the conversion.

Cheers

Matt

Jet,
Nah, my Moke has an A+ motor in it. I'm putting a G13B into a 1968 Mini Matic. I thought about the Moke for the engine but I reckon the exhaust would stick out through the grille.
My Moke, Mokesta, is my Sunday, good weather, not too cold, car and my Suzi-mini will be my trackday and Mt Glorious, wet weather or winter night car.
M
