Good luck Matt. Though I had it pointed out to me the other day 'luck' is opportunity meeting preparation. This build is a testimant to your preparation and lets hope we see plenty of opportunity.

Well guys Dyno has been done and very encouraging reports on the engine :D but horsepower wasn't so encouraging  . Basically generated about 106hp. But he said that was all down to the turbo as it was only generating a max of 7psi. So it looks like I wll be making that manifold and sourcing a t25 tout suite. Still as long as the engine is sound that was my main concern. The rest I can work on...Now for the inspection and test...

Cheers

yeah t25 is the go IMO...did you just stick with stock wastegate n stuff? 106 is still pretty good :) better than almost any a-series out there...

matt did he say why the turbo was only running 7psi??

A few things to check would be hi-lo button is in the high position, if you have disconnected the switch which i think you have it will always run on low boost around 6-7psi.

If you have not got the swich hooked up, have you got the air lines off the wastgate actuator going to the little boost control solenoid?
If so just disconnect them and run a bleed valve between the wastgate actuator and the turbo.

You've got to be happy with anything over 100 at that boost :D

Looks like we have a winner:

Thanks guys yeah I am real happy as it is bog standard. And as Brad, Dean et al have demonstrated this is only the beginning as far tuning and performance are concerned. And I very sure this was on low boost so I am sure the 10Psi would probably have got her into the teens for power.

Brad I will have a look tonight at the boost switch, thanks for the heads up. Yeah I think it is almost a definite that I haven't hooked the switch up.

More news as it occurs. Testing is on Monday unless the engineer drops a bombshell tonight.

Cheers

Matt

Congrats Matt, It sounds like all the hardwork has paid off.

I am sure over the next few months when you start fiddling the HP's will go up.
