Hey everyone. Well went for a drive around the block today. And before everyone kills me I got the Unregistered Vehicle Permit. And the brakes were done on Friday. Anyway did give a huge one but gave her a bit up the hill and in third she made a little squeal (from the tyers). Outrageous...The sound of the turbo is cool too...Off to get the rest of the electrics done tomorrow and then out to the Dyno place next Monday... :D :D

Look out :!: Hes on the road  Geez, I nearly travelled down your way today Matt but thought better of it in this bloody heat.

So did everything feel right :?: No mysterious whines, scrapping noises or clunks :?:

Well done :D

Nah she went like a dream really. Obviously needs a tune and I have to raise the front as the front tyres rub sometimes but apart from that no problems. 8) Oh there was one downside the stepped bracket I made for the gearbox cables meant I could only get the first four gears so I spent the whole making a new one. Now I have all the gears including reverse! Hard in 36 degree heat... :)

Excellent work :D

Don't you just love redoing those little things like the gearchange bracket?
Hopefully that will be the most serious glitch you have.

Thanks Stripey, and yeah AWD those things do crap me because there have been a few. But I guess it is a bit like a stone in your shoe you can put up with it but when you take it out you wonder why you left it so long.

Congrats, Matt. Sounds like you enjoyed the drive.

It looks like another week or so and she will be registered.

Yeah Dan the drive was awesome and geez even in standard trim the power is awesome. Dean mate definitely have to start a club I think there will close to a dozen on the roadin the next couple of years and I think I will make time (if on weekend) to go this cruse on the 26ht of Feb.

Also Ina the gearchange now works perfectly. I just didn't give the stepped bracket enough step if you know what I mean. It needed another 13mm now I get all six gears easy as. I kinda new there was a problem just couldn't be .......

998 you're on the road aren't you. Yeah you come south and I'll drive north and we meet in Sydney (bit further for you  ). Blake yeah get started mate you won't regret it. You will probably get it done quicker than me, I don't know why but other people seem to zoom along compared to me? The end of Jan will represent 18 months of almost continuous work for me
