we have a couple of hodna jazz front cuts & so were going to make up subframes to suit, but it`s very very hard to find manual-trans ones, & seeing as we have been getting more & more enquiries for auto-trans minis, i figured "what the???,,, why not???"
these are far smalle than the typical D16-18 & K20 power units & it measures up pretty well, i don`t expect we need to lengthen the front of a round nose,,, it looks like it will fit (with a little manipulation obviously)
Soooo,,, if anyone is interested then we have one of our spare front cuts up for sale in the for-sale section on this site & we will (at some stage) be offering up a front subframe to suit... please don`t hold your breath tho,,, we have way too many things going on right now & i don`t see us finishing off a Jazz front frame within the next year or so,,, but just letting people know that ( to me) it looks quite "Do-able"
Oh & to re-set the auto trans after replacing battery, all that is needed is to start the car & bring it up to temp,,, when the temp light goes out you then shut off the car
then re-start the car, turn headlights on,,, depress the brake peddle whilst running through the gears leaving in each gear for approx 2secs each gear
then , once you`ve run through all the gears, place it back int park, then turn off the head lights, remove foot from brake peddle & turn off the car
re-start car & drive away,,, auto trans reset is complete
how stuffed up is the late model car industry when you change a battery you get told that it`s purely a Honda dealer re-set opperation that takes the speciall honda diagnostics computer to be plugged into it to re-set the auto trans & cost somewhere up to $400 to do,,, when the truth is that all you do is fiddle with the engine temp, headlights & the gear s a bit & all clear????
thieving mongrels!!!!!!!!!
anyways,,, just a heads up for anyone interested in the new little Honda Jazz engine conversion
OH & the is a 7-speed sequential VTI 1500 Vtec version with paddle shifters avaliable if you`re keen
& also there is a CVT,,, constant velocity transmission version avaliable also,,,

pretty spiffy if you ask me
