Just a quick question does the engineer need to pass/ write a report passing the subframe modification for the new engine? Or its just all at the end when you finish the conversion?

What happens if the engineered who's been along the conversion becomes unavailable or moves interstate would it be troublesome to get a new engineer to sign it all off?

This is btw in QLD

Yes.

Usually they inspect for workmanship, alignment etc before installation.

Then its a drive test...

Get the engineer onboard early.
