"The bikes won. We leave it alone"

I think probably means
"we sold it on ebay to some poor bastard"

ok,, Phillz was over here today & we had a good old chat

I don`t know if i`ve posted this before,,, some of you have seen it & maybe some of you havn`t,,, but anyways, here`s one i prepared earlier :-)

This is my R1 powered "mini"-mini :-)

Image

& yeah,,, i reckon i`m going to buy one of those quaife reverse gear boxes one day soon,,, we have a quaife mini diff in there at the moment,,,, but i could do with a reverse gear for motokhanas,,,, & besides ,i`ve just spent $11,000 on my VW kombi gearbox & diff, so what`s another few grand hey?

seeing that philliz posted pic of his R1 powered Pirrahna buggy i only thought it was fair to get this thread back on topic & show you a Lighter version :-) this thing weighs just a tad under 200kgs :-) & will be even lighter once i get those stupid super(heavy) light mag wheels off & stick my carbob fibre/kevlar-composit mags on :-)

But wait!!!!!!!!!!!! there`s more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

one of my mates (Dale,,, he`s my metal fab fella) well his brother used to race bikes for the Alumalite racing team,,, (Johnny Allen,,, very farking fast man on a bike that`s for sure!!!) ,, multi besquillion dollars at their disposal (usually has approx 2million dollars just sitting in his race a/c at any time) & has a turbo charged R1 as a play bike,,, :-) yes,,, 434hp,,, not a bad thought hey?

sooooo,,, hows about a "leisurely" 350hp turbo R1 powered hillclimb buggy which weighs just a tad more than the bike :-) ??????

& here`s my gearstick :-)
Image

Pretty dam cool hey???

& Simon,,, if someone was stupid enough to want to offer me huge sums of money to build them an R1 powered Mini,,, then i`d have to say yes of course,,,,, but the only problem i can see is that you`d have to take a number & wait in line :-)

cheers
Matt

Is that a cheap $1 screwdriver from Bunnings???

Just thought I'd ask!

Cheers,

AAahhh Tricky,,, you underestimate my integrity mate :-)

it`s (of course) the good old tried & prooven, high quallity "Cresent" screw driver,,, when a friend offered a Snap-on screw driver,,, well i simply had to decline... eveyone has snap on screw drivers these days,,, but not everyone has a 20 year old "Cresent" screw driver for their "Sequential gear shift in their hillclimb special hey? :-)

Obviously the term "Special" is quite appropriate hey??? yes ,,, i`m "Special" :-)

i have thisfriend with a ten ton hydaulic press , so he squashed & quenched it,,, but it was a right bugger to drill the pivot holes :-)

works a treat tho & almost matches the steering wheel :-) ,,,

that was the main intention here really,,, i didn`t care less about much else as long as it worked,,, looked different to anyone elses gear stick... & the colour matched the steering wheel,,, hee hee,,, Mission accomplished :-) i`m such a dork sometimes hey? :-)

Oh & it didn`t cost anything either as it was originally a christmas present from my Granddad :-) he`d be proud that it`s had sooooo much use over the years & now it lives yet again for an even more important purpose :-)

It`s all about being environmentally friendly & recycling,,,, as in i`m """very-mental""" & it`s a R1 motor "'Cycle""" engine :-)

ok,,, I know i`m an idiot :-)
