Don`t be disheartened,,, just fit a warm 1275 & disc brakes,,, that will do you for now & later you can creat the monster that i know you really want :-)

Grab a good 1275 front cut for around the 4 grand mark, it should have all you need with maybe even air-con. Throw in a cam, air filter and good exhaust system. Job done.
When it's time for a rebuild, build on the good foundation you now have.
Well that's my intention anyway! :D

Yep you'll be happy with a 1275 front cut, and even happier with the new brakes.

david rosenthal has a 1275 and disk brakes for sale in the for sale section.

Drop the motor on your box after a freshen up fit better stoppers and it will be easier and faster than a injected rover engine!

Depending on how good you are with a spanner?

Don't worry lushy there seems to some difference of opinion in relation to the definition of "do it right", which has a run on effect on the definitiion of alot of money. I did my own conversion and probably spent $6-$8K on the actual conversion.

Matt

No1 did it wrong conversion, daily driver, 35,000Kms with no problems, and 195bhp atw.
