Not to sure about the filter situation doc... Maby it only goes for aftermarket/ non origional component types of filters... And for pre 83 model cars it is 96db and for after 83 i think its 90db, also i think it depends on what the engineer takes it as, either the car as being a pre 83 or the motor being a pre 83?? The engineer i used told me it went on what year the motor was? God the RTA needs to get this mix model crap sorted out...

There used to be a spec years ago on testing the EXHAUST noise, I think it was 1M off axis and level with rear of car?
There was nothing there about induction noise... which is mainly what my care makes!

Yeah there is a db test/ requirment... But obviously a big webber will make alot of noise... Not sure if there is a test or requirment for it though, but the induction noise will probably come under un - necessary noise polution or something like that if they wanted to ping you for it, and then it will all have to get checked out and probably be put in an air box to meet requirments? Which is a megga pain in the arse, and you would only get done for it if you were being an absolute tool

The induction noise is part of the drive by noise test which does not apply to a mini, well not any Australian Mini they are to old for this one :D

I can recommend Dave Walsh, Innovative Auto Design, 3890 5055 or 0411 311 473.

Hi Gordo just wondering how you're going with your roundy van conversion? how did you come to choose the suzuki turbo engine over the starlet gti turbo? was it a better fit for a roundy?

are you doing most of the work yourself or did you send it to mr enforcer?
how did you learn what was needed to do the job?

did you do the subframes yourself?

Ok so the conversion is coming along slowish (as most conversions are) but it is coming along alright... And yeah 'suposedly' it is a better fit, but still alot is needed to be done to make it fit. And i bought the frames off a guy who was doing a suzuki conversion but then decided to go through a starlet conversion. I am doing alot of the work but saying that the car is at a panel shop ant they are doing more work than me
There is still the problem of not having much room upfront for the radiator and the front mount and all the pipe work. But hopefuly i will get there in the end
