Hi, I have just started looking at what I need to do here in Melbourne to start an engine conversion.
I have already decided on a Honda s07b which is a Japanese Kei car engine only 660cc.
I have a 2000 rover mini imported from Japan so it is an SPI. Where should I be starting?
Is anyone building their own subframe or know a place in melbourne that would make a subframe?
Anyone know a good engineer they have used in melbourne for VASS who has worked with mini's before.

Any Guidence is appreciated

Thanks :D

Welcome to the forum.
I am not a fan of different emgines in minis as the a series is a good unit. However the variety of power options now available does warrant more investigation for those who so desire but I cannot help thinking that your choice is a step backwards.
That being said, good luck with your project and keep us informed as you go along.

Why that engine?
You get more power and torque from the A series you already have.

The same money for a conversion when spent on what you have could give even better gains.
