Hi All its been a long time since posting a message on forum my daughter has got a 69 minimatic it hasn't run for several years due to running rough and gear box being a bit cranky I think its time to get running again and back on the road to enjoy so is their anyone still alive that knows what they are doing when it comes to the auto was thinking engine rebuild and gearbox overhaul I am situated in tassie but am willing to ship interstate. cheers john |

I would change all oil and filters, empty fuel tank and refill with clean super, maybe check float bowl for sediment. Then find out why the engine is misbehaving, check points and plugs, check gearbox operation and only then consider an engine and/or gearbox overhaul only if necessary ![]() |
