Scratching my head at this one all afternoon. What is the black wire that goes into the mechanism? It got pulled out when I was mucking about with the horn and can't work out where it goes now. Help! Sent from my Nokia 5.1 Plus using Tapatalk |

I do have that harness plug, but my issue is the other end of the black wire. I assumed it's an earth but I don't know where it connects Sent from my Nokia 5.1 Plus using Tapatalk |

The earth wires should go the the main earth bolt on the drivers side suspension vertical support brace. I guess you would need to find the earth wire going to the plug and see if there is continuity to earth or an open circuit. The indicator stalk is No 23 on the wiring diagram below. Your car is a little different being a Pov Pack but if you start with the earth wire at the wiper switch and work your way back there maybe a joiner there. I assume you are talking about the later indicator and horn push? If so, the black lead goes into the switch beside the Purple/Black horn lead. The Purple/Black lead goes into the stalk to the end. The black lead has the end of the wire stripped and the individual strands are fanned out and wedged under the metal stalk where it is jammed into its socket - to provide an earth for the horn push separately. Attachment: Blinker and horn switch wiring.jpg You can see the Black wire beside the Purple/Black one. The lose strands of the black wire are visible just below the spring steel clip (slightly rusty) at end of the stalk. |

No idea how ill get it back in there =/ The stalk end is knurled and only an interference fit into its housing - you can remove and replace it with a bit of force. This is when "a degree of recklessness" is needed. Make sure there is a bit of slack on the Purple horn wire when pulling the stalk out. |

Or you can buy a brand new switch from me. English Product $75.00. All you will need to do is fit the original plug to it as I sell them without plug. |
