Hi all,

I will be looking to rebuild the front end in the new year on my (not so) 850.

Looking to add adjustable Caster bars and new LCA's...

I am a little perplexed if to go 1.5, 2deg or fully adjustable on the LCA. The car is only a road car, but aiming for a Cafe Racer type look/set up.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

I'm happy with fixed 1.5 bottom arms and adjustable tie bars on the wasaMatic. Tyres are A008s.

I had previously bought Minispares adjustable LCAs but then thought they looked a bit weak. Minisport ones seem stronger to me, after fitting a few sets for friends.

I would go fixed 1.5 lower arms if your camber is even already. If your suspension is quite different from left to right then adjustable would be a better option.

Your correct about needing adjustable tie bars because the castor will change when the camber changes.

Don’t forget to order the extended steering tie rod ends too. As you make the lower arm longer the stock ends can run out of thread.

I added the adjustable ones to mine as they came up for a good price, but the fixed ones are obviously a bit more sturdy
