Post subject: | Canberra mini mechanic |
Hi all, I have been building a mini from ground up for the last three years. I am now at the pointy end and need a mechanic/auto elec in/around Canberra who knows minis to take it over the line. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Wayne @ Mini Works Australia is not in Canberra, but he's at the bottom end of Sydney and knows his minis http://www.miniworksaustralia.com.au/ |

Or both? |

I just don’t have a tow vehicle and would have to borrow something from work which I’d rather avoid if possible. |

Or both? Technically both, I have bled the brakes with the Gunson easy-bleed but something still doesn’t seem right. Also the gear linkage is baffling me. Aside from that, it’s the wiring. |

Did you buy the harness from a local maker? Are you a member of the local club? Someone there may be willing to guide you. |

Doug, both these shops are not afraid of Mini's, but more importantly, are experts at multi-carb, fuel injection etc...just about any auto sparky could sort the loom problems Cheers, Mick |

Hi DavidE, I did but it isn’t a very detailed diagram. To be fare I haven’t tried yet and it might not be that difficult but energy and time are also lacking. The mini is Australian, harness is from mini sport in Adelaide and I do plan on joining a club once I get it registered. Are you a member? |
