Hi Guys I notice that the rubber small rubber boot that covers the cup that holds the stick in is not available. I have heard that you can use a pot joint boot. It is boot required? What are everyone else using? cheers Rick |

It's a dust excluder - part GSV1073 in case you want to search for one. It seems the same part is used as a boot for pot joints. Mine was in good nick so I reused it when building the remote change extension. |

It is to stop water and dirt from getting into the shift, it's only important if you drive the car. |
