Can anybody recommend me where I am able to get Brake and Clutch master cylinders re sleeved?
I want to keep the originals for my Clubman GT rebuild.
Prefer the eastern or southern suburbs of Melbourne
Thanks,
McFarkle

I had my wheel cylinders done, stainless Steel sleeved, at Power Brakes in Adelaide. I know it's not Melbourne but these guys have been doing it since the 50s. You can post your master cylinders to them. I enquired about having my master cylinders done but they didn't really recommend it, I can't remember why though. Give them a call if you get stuck. They're great to deal with. They also did my brake bias valve, stainless steel sleeved, for $159.

A decent brake & clutch place should be able to have them resleeved. They seem to be sent away to a few central locations who are set up to do these.
The older tin can reservoir style of master cylinder needs to have the tin can unsoldered from the cylinder to allow for drilling holes through the side of the new sleeve - then resoldered together. Maybe a bit time-consuming for some places?
The master cylinders on the GT have the external plastic reservoir that is simply unbolted so the new cylinder sleeve can be drilled through.

Leon at Quick Service Brakes is excellent. Not in Melbourne, but he does mail order. I believe he trained with BMC in the old days - certainly knows his stuff.
