Hi all,

Some of you may remember that my old LH tank looked pretty average and was full of pinholes.

Today I am really greatful to have picked up a replacement s/h tank that appears to be in pretty good condition.

My question is, my original tank had the breather coming off the flanged piece of the tank & this one comes from the filler neck... what tank is this from? Later I'm assuming... it also doesn't have a drain in the bottom of the tank, I'm unsure if it has been removed or came like this from factory.

Is it worth having the drain it or not?

Either way, really happy with the replacement tank, just curious about the differences.

Rohan, Tank is the original tank from 1978 998LS.

It’s got the factory dent in the corner near the taillight. The drain on mine is a real pain as you have to remove the drain valve to take out the tank. It’s much easier to remove a hose from the fuel pump if you need to drain it
