Which set of holes does the SU fuel pump support bracket attach to - the forward pair or the rear pair? I took lots of pics when disassembling everything but missed a clear shot of this section.

Thanks, that explains it. I realise it can go in either provided the hoses are suitable length. Just wanting to retain originality where I can. ;)

Interesting the way you've mounted it Pete. When removed from mine the mounting bracket was above the subframe with bolts coming up from below then into the captive nuts, same as SMK269 photo shows.

Edit: The way you have it relies on the strength of the captive nut welds, which may be more than needed so no drama. But if they did give way the pump would drop onto the ground.

Doug, Did you find a supplier for the braided hose that goes to the pump and the grommet that seals it through the floor?

It looks like there are 2 parts to the grommet. A rubber sheath similar to heatshrink and a standard grommet.

I have never bought a new grommet so i was interested to see if it was 2 piece or 1 piece.

Hi Brad
Yes you are right - there are two parts. The rubber sleeve ( Hose ) which fits over the fuel hose is some what more substantial than heat shrink. Then not so much a grommet but a strong heavy duty o-ring fits up to the rubber sleeve. Your photo looks like the correct parts. I did reused the original parts.

My fuel pump bracket maybe fitted incorrect as Iv'e had it off a few times so thanks for the heads up Doug. I will go back and check earlier photo's

Thanks. I reckon the large o-ring would do a much better job of keeping the hose in the correct position if there was one inside the boot above the floor as well.

I have a standard piece of braided hose and haven't investigated the grommet.
