Hey guys. Installing the water pump right now and I see there is a port for water pump grease. Should I do this? The old one doesn't seem to have any in there? Can I use something I would have here is do I need to get "water pump grease" from auto shop? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

The hole is to let water out of the seal fails. |

The workshop manual says it is for lubricating the bearings (perhaps in addition to allowing water out...) Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

That will be with respect to open cage bearings, but as you've noted you have sealed. Its now just outdated advice |
