Hi All, I'm onto my 3rd Lucas stalk in 2 years. They seem to consistently break the plastic in the red circled area, causing the high beam to flash randomly when indicating at night when headlights are on... Does anyone have a recommended alternative or suggestion (other than "be more gentle" ![]() Attachment: Capture.JPG

Is your cancelling bolt sticking out too far? |

no, its the forward/back motion for the high beam/flash that is the issue. |

Attachment: Indicator switches.jpg Just had a look at some of my old, used spares. Is your problem the tang that gives the flasher switch its detent action? The right hand one is missing that tang altogether. Could be a problem with even the original switches. Just noticed a stress fracture on both of these, where the rivet fixes the terminal for the high beam (blue/white) contact. The best I can do is offer you the left hand one, although several wires have been cut. Can send more photos if interested. |

I used a Celica twin stalk setup - has the advantage that the Wiper/Washer control is on the column as well. Put it on nearly 20 years ago and never had an issue with it. |

Ah... those old Toyota parts. They never seem to wear out. |

Thanks Bill and Oz, yes the tang is the problem. Temped to buy another but add some strength/support to it. |

Looks a bit difficult to support that tang. Are any of the later UK minis using indicator/light switches that might be useable? |
