Hi all, I am been thinking about replacing my standard, off the shelf FACET ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP with something a bit better. Although the Facet is reliable it’s not real quiet (no matter how much I insulate it). Just curious if anyone has had some experience in fitting a more modern low pressure fuel pump or with the genuine su electric fuel pumps. Just looking for reconmendations. I currently have a A+ 998 with twin hs2’s. Thanks |

I had an old Ecco pump for many years then replaced with an SU one. Both are quiet, you can just hear them “ticking” to prime before starting. There’s no way you would hear either of them once the motor starts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

On a UK website, the same question was asked recently. One answer from a member recommended: http://www.minispares.com/product/Class ... o%20search I have been using SU points style pumps on 3 minis for over 40 years and while I have replaced one once, I have never had one fail. |

Would one of these be any good to replace the original SU? https://www.onlineautoparts.com.au/prod ... /ZPN-00889 I'm tossing up between fixing my old SU, going for the aftermarket one as shown on the minispares site or this one as per the link. Cheers, Rocky |

I have no experience with the ECCO pump. Personally I'd wait to get a recommendation from someone who has used it for a lengthy period as it isn't a type that is common in the Mini community to my knowledge. You need to consider the quality, efficiency and noise among other things. Be aware that genuine SU pumps for positive and negative earth are available locally. http://www.sumidel.com/shop/item/auf214ep http://www.sumidel.com/shop/item/auf214en |
