Hi chaps, hoping someone can tell me if the sender to suit an electronic temp gauge (fitted in the head casting near the thermostat) needs a copper washer or sensor sealant?

It’s NOT a tapered thread on the sensor.

cheers,
Silas

No. Just screw it in, it seats on a tapered face in the head.

A low strength thread sealant helps if you have any leaks there. I use a low-strength thread sealant in most cases just to be sure.
