I've bought a new seat covering for the rear seat but it came without instructions. I've tried Youtube and Google, does anyone have any instruction sheets for fitting the new seat cover? |

Is this for a round nose or Clubman? Is the new covering the same as the original factory style? |

As for winabbey, And have you kept the hog rings that came off the old seat? Are you recovering both seat and squab? I've recovered several seats. I'm not a professional but it was fairly straightforward, especially if you aren't changing the foam too. Start by putting the new cover over the seat loosely and work around the edges to wrap the material around the frame. Maybe use bulldog clips to hold in place before committing to the hog rings. Check that any clips are not going to be seen when the seat is in position. Maybe a female type person who is good a dressmaking could be asked. My mother made the first set of seat covers for our mini, many years ago. |

Those "hog rings" are very similar or identical to clips used to secure wire netting to the taut wires when fencing, they even come with pliers to do the clips up, using the pliers for upholstery may or may not work... |

The "hog rings" were used by the factory. Upholstery suppliers do sell the proper pliers but I make do with multi grips as the used rings are now "pre-bent". The back seats have a lot of these rings as the seat frame is mostly high tensile wire and not flanges like the front seats where you can use the push-on flat spring clips. |
