To spray oil around the valve gear. To lube the rocker ends. But not needed, it's pretty foggy with oil up there anyway. Later rocker designs don't have them. |

it is supposed to. Someone has changed the bushes. And not drilled through them. |

Yes. I have done a few sets with offset bushes. Don't believe anybody that says offset bushes will give S rockers a 1.5:1 ratio. I made .044" offset bushes (is more than the ones being sold) and only just got to 1.3:1 with pressed steel (1.2:1) 998 rockers. And stock forged S rockers are even worse at 1.16:1 ratio. These lift ratios calculated on a 1275 head with Graham Russell RE13 cam (.290" lobe lift). If you do want 1.5:1, buy new rockers. ![]() |
