Did a late model 1970 Cooper S ever have two speed wipers? The car is four before they produced the small run of burst proof door Cars with the flush external handles. It was stripped down years ago and we now have several wiper motors and unsure which is the right one. Cheers.

2 Speed wipers were fitted to Police Coopers of that era. I have also heard of other late MK2 Coopers (non police) with them fitted but I didn't take note of the car numbers.

My mate has a late 71 S it's stock, with the police pack and the 2 speed wipers.

Do you have the wiper switch from the strip down? The switch is different as it has 3 positions. Also, look at the dates on the wiper motor. Pick the ones that are dated a month or two before your build date on the plate. This may narrow down your possibilities from your selection.

If you still have the wiring loom check the number of wires that go to the wiper motor.
Single speed wipers have 3 wires that go to the motor.
Two speed motors have 4 wires and may have a 4 pin multi connector plug.
There is also an earth wire from the motor to the body but it is a separate black wire and not part of the wiring loom.
Both OZ Lucas motors use regenerative braking for the parking function and the single and two speed switches are different as mentioned above.
The two speed switch is the same as used on an MGB.
