Post subject: | Tie Rod End rubber seal springs |
Hi All, Big thanks to all for the amazing info and generosity in sharing and helping those less mechanical. So, I’ve been soaking the heavily corroded tie rod ends in CLR for the past few days to give them a clean up. Tragedy though, the original springs that seal the rubber covers over the top of the tie rod end have been corroded through ( pic below). I’ve been looking to find something to replace them on the mini sites but can’t find anything. Other that replacing the entire tie rod end which seems silly just for the springs. Anyone know of a solution? Cheers, Brendon ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No, no new springs. It’s very frustrating. Surely there’s something out there that’s similar!! Wire will be my last resort. Maybe someone will know of a solution. B Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

When a complete new tie rod end is $17.45 I see them as a consumable part, they are pretty much always replaced whole. I've never replaced a boot on one yet. The boots make a good seal for rod change shifter boxes though! |
