Hello All
Where the accelerator cable fits to the acc pedal is there a clip to hold the outer cable from moving ?

The inner wire is fed from inside the cabin through the small hole in the firewall into the engine bay, plain end first. The wire has a bead at its inner end that sits in a slot at the top of the accelerator pedal arm - no clip.
Mini King's parts catalogue shows a clip (11H1172) to hold the inner cable to the pedal arm, but I've never such a clip. It is not required as the cable has enough tension to hold everything in place.
The outer sleeve of the cable is fed onto the inner wire and locates in the "little ferrule on the bulkhead".

the ferrule on the bulkhead isn't removable - it really should be there... it's about an inch down from the crossmember

at least I don't think it's removable, I've never seen a shell without it, and they've always been painted as if they were spot welded to the shell

I just fitted a new cable to my mini and the old cable had a square nut on the end (loose), I thought it was odd.
When I fitted the new cable it went straight through the Fire wall so I pulled it out and fitted a small flat washer to stop the cable going through.
Obviously no ferrule on my car.
Anyone got a photo of the ferrule in place ?
