Hi, Looking to find out what a Lucas 29D with AYB0370 should fit (no vacuum)? It was fitted to my mk.2 S ,many years ago. It is dated 7/71, Reddog. |

origmini was chasing info on a 29D4 AYB0370 stamped 62941129 8/71. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=71932 The old Mini Kingdom catalogue has (B62941129-R) as an Australian MK II Cooper S. I am not so sure as the last MK2 Ss were built 3/71. If the dissy you have is 7/71 it would have been fitted to another type of vehicle. |

The dog drive and rotor also don't line up. It was running in my car many years ago. I wonder if the dog drive was altered from another vehicle? Where could I find a list of 29D Lucas Dist. with part no. and vehicle fitment ? Reddog. |

I have a 29 D here which also has no Vacuum and it is stamped AYH 0728.. 62941137A and it is dated 2.73 I was told it is from a Morris Marina GT or the like. I have never tried it is a Mini to see how it advances. |

After some more research I've discovered Lucas Australia distributor 62941129 was originally configured for a six cylinder vehicle and was specifically a later fitting for the Austin Kimberley E6 twin carby model (manual and auto). If anyone has one of these that is configured for a four cylinder vehicle then the cam and cap (and maybe other internal parts) have been swapped. Nothing wrong with that as most Lucas distributors share common parts. In this case a non-vacuum advance body like this can be used for various 4 or 6 cylinder applications, although the part number stampings on the outside will then be incorrect. Attachment: Lucas AV5 p13.jpg Thanks very much for that, I was just going around in circles. The drive dog and rotar button also don't line up, but it would still run my motor, thanks, Reddog.
