Hello All'
I have fitted new hand brake cables and adjusted the rear brakes .The question is ,the hand brake adjustment nuts are screwed down below half way on the threads is that normal to get a good hand brake ????

Have fitted new cables to my rebuild. The threaded section is about 80mm in total, there is about 40 mm sticking out past the round bar which the adjusting nuts rest on, including the height of the nuts. That's just over half way. My road going car is very similar.

Maybe you have a van set of hand brake cables which are longer than sedan!

Dry and hydro cars also have different cables.
The cables I have just fitted have a small yellow plastic ring on each of them. I don't know if this is an identification code for specific application, or if it was just used by whoever made them.
