I have a mini shaped car cover I bought in the UK, but it is disintegrating due to UV. Does anyone have recommendations for a UV resistant outdoor cover? Thanks, Richard |

Don't know about outdoor covers but I got a custom made indoors cotton dust cover for my Mini Van which I ordered from a well-known national cover maker in the west. It looks - and almost cost - a million dollars complete with 'Mini' badge on the nose and double stitching around the seams, aerial cut out, elasticized base, etc. Only trouble is it doesn't keep the dust out! Instead it lets a very fine layer of dust settle all over the roof and bonnet. A mate of mine had the same issue with another high end indoor cover that was made for his XU1 Torana from another supplier. |

I really need an outdoor one. The disintegration of the current one is leaving dust all over the car. |

Try Chief Car Covers in Perth, I have one of their dusty indoor covers too, but also have just sold a (no longer needed) Jaguar outdoor cover that they made for me, - it was very good, in a breathable heavy duty fabric, & if they have the pattern for the indoor cover, they could easily do an outdoor Mini one? |

I have the same issue as Redfive. Just bought an SCA one. Its too big but thats ok for me. Obviously no info on UV stability or life. Will need a few years to determine. (My purpose built Mini one lasted about 2 years) |

Thanks, Richard It’s safer for your car to sit in the rain than leave it under a cover to sweat and stay moist. I know from experience with a fully waterproof cover. You paint will blister and the interior will get mouldy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No cover will last long as I have used expensive covers on my caravan and they fall apart Irossiter is correct car covers will promote rust etc . |
