My parts catalogue PUB 1056M has no part number for this part page RG-2, I think it was one piece rubber moulding. Can anyone give me this part number or correct me if I'm wrong. |

The missing part number (HYA893) was included in a later version of the parts book, but was superceded to PAM1019. The current number used seems to be ALA5897. That's what I purchased for my 1970 model but have yet to fit it. https://minikingdomonline.com.au/produc ... l-lhr-rhr/ http://minisport.com.au/mini-early-rear ... de-windows http://www.classicmotoring.net.au/cmos/ ... ts_id=1188 https://www.minisplus.com.au/classic-mi ... land-style |

I have fitted both these seals. PAM1019 is a 2 piece assembly with a pinchweld type plastic that grips to the flange of the window opening, with a sponge rubber section glued to it that seals against the window frame. It is very similar to the door seal. The early versions of this seal had a tendency to unglue themselves in Aussie heat. Later ones seem to last well. ALA5897 is the one piece rubber extrusion. I recently bought this and it is an exact replacement for what was originally on my 1969 and 1970 cars. |
