Post subject:  Does this block look right?

Hi All,
First post under this account, but a returning member that couldn’t remember my old name, password or email.
Looking to build a fast 1275 and saw this block here https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTE5NlgxNjAw ... Y/$_20.JPG Bored to 1380.
I used to have a 1380 years ago, but don’t remember the walls looking that thin. Particularly between 2 and 3.
What do you think? Does it look right?

Yep. Unless you go for offset bored then it does get thin between 2 and 3.

when offsetting the bores (properly) you would be making the meat between the bores (on all of them) thicker than they would be without off-setting

we pull the outer 2x cyls (1 & 4 ) .020" to .025" outwards,,, & the inner 2x cyls (2 & 3) .015 outwards (away from the center)

we have 160thou (roughly) oversize bored engines here been running fine for literally years n years n years, one with an 86mm stroke crank & 74.7mm bore =(1510cc) & another with a 91mm stroke crank & 74.5mm bore (1590cc)

so the "usual" 1380 is only 73.5mm bore & ours are 74.7mm & 74.5mm respectively & yes there is not much meat between the bore on these things but we havn`t had any dramas (so-far, crossing fingers :-) )

easy-peasy :-)
