Bargain :D

From description:

1380er Cooper S race engine MD296SP, lightened balanced rods, Omega pistons

with 7cc offset dish, steel flywheel super light with uprated clutch cover and disc.

Block is just rebored and honed to 73,5mm, crank has been ground, hardened, balanced.

New performance bearings are fitted as well as a set of lightened followers,

new uprated oil pump, and water pump. Cylinder head is fitted with 36-30 valves and

Iskendarian valve springs. There is a roller tip high lift (1:1,5) rocker assembly

fitted, which we can change free of charge for a steel high lift rocker assembly,

if engine is used for historic motor sport.

We used this engine for BCT a German race class some years ago and it gave 126 BHP at the

flywheel. It uses a MD296SP cam and was fueled by a 45 DCOE

We would not recommend an A-series gearbox unless you use

sc drop gears with internal bearing.

Best would be to use 4-synchro A-plus box with sccr gears or a dog box.

The shipping cost inside Europe is only a rough price, would be cheaper

normally. We recommend to visit us and the engine in our workshop before purchase.

it's a quite known dealer over here. and a quite regular price .... engine rebuilding is expensive in good old Germany

Almost $15k plus shipping and customs....no doubt an extremely well built race motor (no trans) that gave 126bhp at the flywheel "some years ago". How does this compare with what can be professionally built locally by, say, GR?

My very unstressed 1411cc has 127hp on Graham's dyno. Built so i don't have to rebuild it every 5 minutes.

So the german one should be right on the mark for a 1380cc built for racing without being too stressed.

Full race motors are up at the 160-170hp i have heard these days.
