Hi guys. Got a weird sound from the cooper S its got a grinding noise. And almost like a loose front wheel sound but no vibration from the wheel I have checked them and they are tight... any sugesstions. Thinking bearings...

Get a mate, jack it up and wriggle the wheels. Look/ feel for things/ play that shouldn't be there. Anything drastic will be immediately obvious....

yeah, I ended up doing that. and turned out the 4 Allen screws were loose on the hub

I use an impact driver on them. ;)

I just used a ratchet. Hopefully thats good enough... It's been loose for quite a while. I just kept removing the wheel nuts and putting them on.. it seems to do the trick for a while... Hopefully this is the actual fault.

We fitted a new drive flange but the old one looks fine.
