Hello All, Just fitted engine and subframe as a unit .Placed a couple of planks under the car using 4 jack stands and a jack. lowered the body over the subframe motor unit. Went well got 4 bolts into the subframe , kicked the caster platform away from the subframe then the front of the car tilted down like a seesaw. The wife came out and suggested bricks in the boot, good idea. blanket and 12 bricks fixed the problem. I now have the car on 4 secure stands. Goods use of bricks. P7676. |

I think these are the main areas that need to be looked at if you want to change the aftermarket apron back to original. Attachment: Repro front apron changes.jpg

HI All Why is it when some body up loads a photo of their mini that they are restoring to the way they want it people have to get on here and start picking on it?, does it really matter if it had square head lights and a KIA front on it? he is doing a really good job on it, and it is looking really good, very well done p7676 keep up the good work it will look really good when finished. Jealousy is terribly thing. Graham Russell |

I just saw his incorrect comment about it being the correct front panel and offered a photo of the areas that need to be looked at if he wants to bring it back to original. No haters here |

I bought the car for $6000.00 about 16 years ago Just got it out of storage, something to keep me busy. The car has been sand blasted new panels fitted using an inverter spot welder, metal finished no body filler 2 pack epoxy primer 2 pack PPG paint. I will have it completed soon . I may even drive it sometimes I don't show cars as I cant see the point. When I die someone can have my cars. I do all the work except the engine rebuild .P7676 |

Jealousy is terribly thing. Graham Russell I am not jealous in any way and if the guy is happy with it thats his decision I was only mentioned it other people that may do a restoration to know that there's differences in the rover panel if there chasing 100% factory |
