Hi all, Wondering if anyone can help. I have a 2/70 MK2 S in many pieces. Brake and clutch master cylinders both measure 0.70. Both are plastic resevioir. One is alloy marked Lockheed, other is Cast iron marked Girlock. Would either be the correct brake master cylinder ? Any opinions on best option for clutch master ? Bore and sleeve one of the existing, try to acquire a correct 0.75, try and exchange somewhere for a refurbed clutch mc ? Thanks in advance Andrew |

My 8/70 S has cast iron Girlock brake and clutch M/cylinders (plastic reservoir). Brake M/C = 0.70"; clutch M/C=0.75" Mine are probably original and resleeved. There were alloy bodied M/cylinders but I don't know what they were meant for. |

Thanks all for your responses. Very helpful. Cast iron it is. I will see if I can exchange the alloy .70 MC on a .75 cast one. |

From what I have read, clutch should be .75 and both MC's are .70 Am I right in thinking ditch one of the .70's for a .75 ? |

You don't have to ditch one , just ask them to sleeve to .75 . |

The Brake Specialist where you get it sleeved should be able to supply the cups for it .I'm not sure who does the sleeving in the Sydney area , someone on here may know . |

Warringah Brake and Clutch at Brookvale can get them resleeved/reconditioned. Usually a couple of days as they send them away They did all my brake cylinders and pipes and hoses about 5 years ago |
