Have a problem at higher revs where gauges seem inaccurate- Fuel level can drop from 1/2 tank to 1/4 tank full. I have tested the output of the voltage regulator with the ignition on and it is 9.97 volts. Anyone know what the problem maybe? Should I purchase a new voltage regulator?

Thanks, Scott.

Does the voltage change when you rev the engine?

Body vibration. They use a vibrating bimetallic strip.
I cured mine by replacing with an electronic one. Thanks wombat. ;)

How do you get hold of an electronic voltage regulator? Can you place it inside the standard casing so that it looks stock?

Yes, you can. I can refer you to a set of instructions with details of the device that you need to buy to fit inside the case.
