Is there a drawing around for this item?

My old Mk1 S (no longer mine) is going back on the road after 35 years hibernation. It had a wooden dash which has now had it, the owner wants to take it back to original Mk1 binnacle.
Other binnacle parts are available, but the oval metal plate assembly is worth silly money.
The owner is interested in making one, maybe get some extras laser cut if there is a call for them.

I don't have the drawing for the plate - part 14A9904.

Seven Enterprises has reproduction versions - http://www.7ent.com/products/mounting-p ... a9904.html

If you could get hold of one on loan I agree you should be able to make a good replica. It's hidden so no big deal that it isn't authentic.

There is a guy in the UK that make the back plate, brackets, screw, and binnacle as well.
I'll see if I can find the contact details.
Cheers
Rod

I would think anybody looking for repro ones would need the L brackets and plastic binnacle as well? It's not the sort of part that goes missing on it's own? Maybe a Kit of parts for a MKI style with exposed front screws would sell?

They do make repro ones with the extra brackets, just really expensive as Drmini has said..
