Hey all, any tips on the best way to align the doors? my pass door hinges are slightly loose so the door hangs down. needs to be pulled up to shut and even then needs to be pushed forward toward the guards really. its already chipped off some off the paint from when it gets shut so would like to align it to stop it getting worse. do I just prop door up and tighten the hinges??

If the door's hinge pins are loose, re-pin them, with new bushes. But yes, door adjustment is as you say.

Probably the hinge pins, as Doc said. Get someone to lift the door while you check where the movement is coming from. The end of one hinge may also be a bit loose.

Re-pinning components are available from the usual Mini spares businesses and are cheap. Well worth doing to avoid more damage to the door and frame like you are currently getting.

And make sure you know which size drill bit to use in each part of the hinge, so the new bush and the new pin fit properly.

take the hinges off the body, fit new pins and bushes, you may need a pin punch. Adjust the top hinge forward and tighten the bolts top and bottom, should be ok use some dry lube on locks ,oil on hinges. P7676
Note do not get the hinges mixed up although they have the letters on the back in case you do. P7676
